MEET YOUR DOULA

I worked in healthcare spaces and social services for over 8 years, including roles as an abortion doula, lead tissue surgeon, and patient care (women’s health) advocate. While I loved serving my community in these capacities, I did not love how frequently people, especially Black women, were ignored in medical spaces. I knew there had to be a better way and I wanted to be an agent of change.

A soul calling led me to become a birth/postpartum doula and placenta encapsulation specialist. I offer families the kind of care, clarity, and advocacy they deserve during birth and beyond. As a mother, I recognize the value of preparing one’s mind for birth and the importance of establishing a village.

Childbirth is a marathon, but it does not have to be a traumatic experience. Birth should be a sacred experience with you and your baby at the center.

The goal at Genesis & Co. is to honor your birth preferences, empower YOU to make informed decisions, and to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

Fun Facts About Me

  • Cleo Sol is my favorite music artist and I attended her first concert in the U.S. while 7 months pregnant with my daughter.

  • I consciously made the decision to stop eating meat and seafood in July of 2023. I invested in the creation of a mobile restaurant and catering company, SOL8 LLC, where we craft soulful, plant-based meals for others to enjoy.

  • It is a dream of mine to live internationally with my family someday.

  • I physically cannot snap my left fingers or burp.
